The best kiosk in the wrong place collects nothing useful. Follow three rules, then use the placement ideas below.
Three rules
- Right after the experience. Put the kiosk where the moment ends: exits, after checkout, outside the washroom.
- In the flow, not in the way. At hand height on the path people already walk, without blocking the door.
- One place, one question. A kiosk at the pharmacy should ask about the pharmacy, not the whole hospital.
Retail
| Spot | Question |
|---|---|
| Store exit | How was your shopping today? |
| After checkout | How was checkout today? |
| Fitting rooms | How was the fitting room? |
Compare the same question across branches to see which ones are pulling ahead.
Airports and travel hubs
| Spot | Question |
|---|---|
| After security | How was security today? |
| Washrooms | How clean is this washroom? |
| Gates and lounges | How is your wait? |
Washroom ratings by hour show when cleaning rounds need to be more frequent.
Offices and facilities
| Spot | Question |
|---|---|
| Staff exit | How was your workday? (anonymous) |
| Canteen | How was lunch today? |
| Washrooms | How clean is this washroom? |
For employee questions, switch off IP collection so answers stay anonymous.
Checklist before you go live
- Kiosk is visible from at least five metres away
- Question is printed clearly above the buttons
- Wi-Fi or SIM signal is checked at the exact spot
